biotIP receives Government funding for device to improve pandemic test-and-track response capability

The grant will fund an accurate and novel real-time platform that will revolutionise the government’s current track and trace programme. For the first time, the user will see an immediate result on a test stick similar to that used for a home pregnancy test, but integrated electronics powered by the user’s smartphone will allow simultaneous transmission of the result to a remote monitoring body.

Work will begin immediately on a prototype which will be scheduled for delivery this autumn with the aim of starting accelerated production in late Q4
